Hey everyone,

Well this week was crazy. This next week will be even crazier. The office sees a lot of action. First off, I got the package from Matthew and Sandee. They bought me birthday dinner and dessert and sent me the Mountain House lasagna and apple crumble dinner. SO good. My taste buds had a good night. :)

My companion and I are finally driving. He got his license and was driving us around for the last few days. We drive the blue mission van. I call it Big Blue in memory of the USU mascot. We have a fun time.

We had a cool time on Sunday too. Our bishop is super active and really wants the Ward to get involved in the missionary work but it’s a hard area. In PEC in the morning he told the Relief Society and Elders to change the lessons to missionary work and I offered to help then suddenly we were asked to teach the lessons. It turned out really, really cool though. I got up and our aim was to help the members be better at inviting their friends to meet with us. We do FHE with them so we asked what stops them from doing it and then we did some role plays with the elders and got some activities. I was a really good time. We passed around a calendar for them to sign up for times to meet with us. It was cool.

I'm getting used to the new office elder thing. We are pretty busy running around and managing things. We are like the AP's but they help with things like transfers and we manage the office. We still travel around to different district council meetings and zone meeting and go on exchanges with other missionaries which is going to be fun. Last week we went to a place called Nsawam with Elder W. and we got this drink there called Blue Skys. It’s a fruit smoothy made entirely from Mangos, bananas and oranges. They are so good. It literally changed my life haha. I love them. If any of you ever come here that is a priority.

We had a great zone activity today. Played volleyball and threw water everywhere. Good times. And I finally got my shoes back. In Buduburam I had a good friend who is a tailor so I had him make me a pair to shoes. I got them today and they are pretty slick.

Our area is pretty tough. Lots of Muslims and nobody wants to talk with us. I haven't experienced this yet on my mission. I suspect it’s a lot like other missions in the world. People just straight up tell us they don't want to talk to us.  I kind of like it because we don't have any time to waste and that just helps us more. Still hard though. We have one good family we are teaching and ironically they are Liberians. Small world!

Well I guess I better wrap it up. Thanks for all the emails. I hope this week is fantastic for everyone!

Love,

Elder Clark
