Just like that another month is gone. They sure do go by too fast. One of my favorite parts of this week was with a man we were teaching. He is an old man that is blind. Unfortunately he doesn't have any interest in the Church but we were teaching him and I was talking when  he interrupted and said, "You know you sound like a white man." I guess there is only so much you can do to sound native. Can't hide it completely. I do try though.  I busted up laughing though.  I hadn't thought about it but the man had seen me as a Ghanaian and was thinking I was one.  Pretty cool.

Things went well this week. I went on exchanges with one guy in the district. He is still being trained and is from South Africa. He is Zulu and his name has a click in it.  Really cool guy.

I got the best FHE idea a while back from one missionary. He's gone home by now but it was to take a deck of playing cards and turn them into playing cards by cutting out the pictures from the pamphlets and gluing them on. Man, that game is so popular. Every person I have played it with has asked where they can buy it. They all ask if I will make them a deck. Good people and members.

The members support us now 100%. We finally got our request and had the auxiliary leaders at our coordination meeting yesterday and it was so good. They were really excited to get us involved in Home and Visiting teaching.  The 1st counselor announced that we have been cleaning the chapel on Saturday and how impressed they are with us. One member told me about how much they talk about us in PEC and how happy they are. We are even working on a project to get the basketball hoop put back up so we can hold a tournament. We also challenged the young men to a soccer tournament against the missionaries. We've got the support, now we are just trying to turn that into teaching with us. I can easily see this place baptizing 8 a month or so by August. It's going to start exploding soon. Pretty sweet.

We had a pretty busy week.  Did a ton of finding.  I feel like sometimes I see the most miracles there.

We had one cool experience with an investigator.  He’s 22ish and we went to teach him one night at about 8pm and it started raining so the lesson didn't happen and we were just talking with him in this little provisions shop we were hiding in and eventually I turned to conversation to the gospel and he told me that he prayed and he really received his answer and knows that the Church is true. Now just to get him to the Church.

Fantastic week though. Lots of memories made but I can never remember what they are to write about it in the email.

Love you all!

Well I think this is a day that will live in infamy. May 19 was the day that the 3rd Star Wars Movie came out if I remember correctly. What a sad movie. But this week was a fireball!
We did some great work this week, despite my sun burnt feet. Tuesday we had our usual bike training for Elder N. He's getting better. We went and taught a new man, it was a great lesson. He met with the missionaries 6 years ago and then dropped them because his friends started talking to him about some of the rumors like we drink blood and stuff. But we taught him and he said that he's been waiting for us for 6 years. That was pretty cool. He’ll get baptized on the 21 of June hopefully. Wednesday we went and met one investigator and walked her over across our area to visit a member with us so we could teach her with us. That was pretty cool. She introduced us to her husband.

Saturday we went to clean the Chapel as part of our plan to build relationships with the members. There were only 2 members there and the Chapel is actually really big so we were there stacking chairs and cleaning for several hours. It looked really nice and the best part was after I walked passed a group of members, I listen to what they were saying that they were talking about how impressed they were with us and how serious we were and really how excited they are to have us in the Ward. Bingo! Sunday was really good too. It was our first normal Sunday and I finally got to bear my testimony. A lot of members came up to me and commented me on it and they said they are ready to work with us.  We've been visiting them all week too.  It's sweet to watch this area absolutely blossom. We had a lot of investigators come to church on Sunday too which got them even more excited. It's Sweet.
Sunday was our fast Sunday for certain reasons and one ancient man got up to bear his testimony, he had to be about 40 or something. ( Ha ha Elder Clark) He was an actor for the national theater and you could really tell. He was making sound affects to his stories and getting all into it about how he joined the Church. Then the bishop handed him a note and he said my time is up amen." It was mid story and really climatic. I was on the edge of my seat. I guess part 2 comes next month.

Oh yeah and Saturday was a real dozy. We met a talked with a new man that talked to us for almost 2 hours.  I just sat there blank faced and let my companion talk, I am pretty patient, but the guy wouldn't stop talking. Finally we left and it was only 7:30. Can't go back early so I just started praying that something would happen for us. I felt prompted to go into one compound and we met a pretty cool guy. He was like how did you get here? We were prompted to go. He is a good family man.
Sunday when I bore my testimony one guy came up to me and was like "Whoa, you talk just like a Ghanaian." I was pretty proud of myself. It's not east to talk the Ghana-English but I guess I've done pretty well. I was actually really happy about that.

That's about it from this side of the world. Love you all!

Well, it was really nice to be able to talk to all of you yesterday. Good to hear everyone's voices. Even Oliver for the crackly static that it was. I hope you all had a fantastic Mother's Day. At church I was wishing everyone Happy Mother's Day and something funny is that every time you say it they say the same thing back to you. I always said I'm not a mother which always gets some funny looks but that's what I go for.

So the rundown for the week, Tuesday I found the head of an eagle to a big eagle costume which I wore for a little while. Pretty exciting. Then not much else really happened. We just did finding all week.  We meet some cool people. The most interesting was the British guy. Cool guy.
Today we played basketball out at a park. It actually had a playground somehow like you would see in the states. It had the plastic slides and everything.  Anyway I did pretty good and put my fair share of points. Only downside is I am super sun burnt. Part of the fun though.      And my fingers are killing me. The new shirts are a little rough and I scrub pretty hard because they are new and white and I want them to stay that way. I had to take a break and do some cleaning when I started leaving red streaks on the white. Got it all done though.

So it's the rainy season which means it hasn't rained a whole lot but it is cloudy most of the day which is just beautiful.  Drizzles every now and then too. Kind of looks like rain now actually. Probably will too. It always does when it is really hot during the day.

So that's about it. We are really just trying to focus on building relationships with the members and strengthening them through missionary work. That's what the gospel is all about anyway. Every member a missionary right? Love you all, have a great day!
